Sirah and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

The Humbleness of The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (PBUH)

The Humbleness of The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (PBUH)

The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (PBUH) was extremely humble, he did never feel arrogance despite his high Status. The humbleness of The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (PBUH) was evident in his treatment of all people. Old and young, near and far, family and friends, man and woman, and servents. In his view, all are the same, there is no preference for one over another except for good deeds.

Allah the Almighty described His Messenger with the best descriptions and the most perfect attributes, and he mentioned that in the Quran: (And indeed, you are of a great moral character), Surat Al-Qalam.

Arrogance is a satanic attribute and was the first committed sin, where Satan refused God commanded him to prostrate to Adam, peace be upon him,

In surah Al-A’raf: ([ Allah ] said, “What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?” [Satan] said, “I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay.”)

A few examples of the humbleness of the Prophet Muhammad, PBUH, include:

We, Muslims, should follow the prophet’s model and morals in all our sayings and actions, among them is humbleness.

If a Muslim is humble, Allah will raise his status in this world and the hereafter.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another but that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah but that Allah raises his status.
